Retinal Imaging

Using the latest in digital technology, we can capture images of the back of the eye, the retina.

Theses images can be viewed instantly on a monitor and studied in detail to detect signs of any sight-threatening conditions like glaucoma, diabetes and ARMD.

By storing these images, we are able to compare the retina year on year, thereby detecting any subtle changes. If required the images can be e-mailed to a doctor or eye specialist.

The procedure is simple and painless, much like taking a picture with a standard camera.

Retinal imaging is available at selected practices, although there is a small additional charge for this service, we strongly recommend it.
