Lenses that change in the Sun (Transitions) All these lenses will protect your eyes from the harmful UV rays. These lenses are made in all materials up to the High index (1.67.) They change in Sunlight (using the UV rays to darken) and with a clear coat (A/R) go from letting through 98% of the light to dark letting through only about 20% of the light.

They are temperature sensitive so they will go darker when it is colder and are not so active when it is hot. Because they use the UV light most of which is filtered out by the windscreen of the car. This means that they are not that effective as sunglasses when driving. In general they are available in two colours BROWN & GREY however in a limited power range you can get Green, Blue, Violet, Pink, Orange & Yellow Drivewear & NXT polarized are new polarized photochromic sunglasses.

Other Tints

There are a vast range of tints available. Some just for fashion, some required for medical reasons, some just as a sunglass and others for sports. There are special tints for Skiing, tennis, fishing, flying & hand gliding to name a few.
